INDOOR SILO COVERS
This simple, practical solution to the problem of grain contamination is exclusive to ACT. Made from a strong, polyester mesh to allow drying and aeration whilst protecting grain from contamination. The reinforced centre allows the peak to be suspended clear of the grain whilst the eyeletted edges can be securely held in place with weights or hooks. Covers available for bins from 11ft to 19ft 10ins diameter.
GRAIN AUGERS
High quality, British made grain conveyors available with a complete range of motors and accessories. General Purpose models are supplied with guards, intake regulator, auger pulley, vee belt and motor mount. Motor Pulleys are supplied free of charge if the auger and motor are ordered together. Lengths range from 11ft to 34ft with output levels from 10 tonnes to 34 tonnes per hour (@ 45?). High Lift Augers come in lengths from 21ft to 49ft and output levels from 15 tonnes to 70 tonnes per hour (@ 45?). Top extensions and Flexible Outlet Spouts are available, as optional extras.
MOISTURE METER/GRAIN THERMOMETER
The Unimeter gives instant, direct readings for barley, wheat, oats. A conversion chart is used for other cereals and seeds. The Unimeter incorporates a precision thermometer with 5m of cable for use in stored grain.
PORTABLE SPEAR AERATORS
Both Grain and Rape models are available to provide a low cost way to handle hot spots without turning the grain. Single phase motor - simply plug into a 13 amp socket. Copes with grain depth up to 12ft and an area of 12ft x 12ft at one time.
GRAIN STORE INSECT TRAPS
Non-nut Bait Traps for empty stores detect the presence of insects before the store is filled. Each pack contains a sterilised attractant bait in a mesh trap.
Suggested requirements:
Up to 250 tonnes capacity: 10 traps
250 - 500 tonnes capacity: 20 traps
Over 500 tonnes capacity: 30 traps
Pitfall traps for stored grain give early detection of pests - more effective than spear or vacuum sampling.

1000 - 5000 tonnes: 20 - 40 traps
5000+ tonnes: 5 traps per 1000 tonnes.
