Arable Silage
These mixtures of peas (high in protein) and cereals (high in starch) can produce high yields of well balanced quality forage. They are also a fantastic way of providing a nurse crop for spring sown grass seed mixures.
Arable Silage can give yields of 12-15 tonnes of fresh material per acre and be ready to cut in 12-14 weeks from sowing. Sown in March it can be fed as fresh cut material in mid-summer or ensiled for use throughout the winter.
