Kale
An excellent feed for both sheep and cattle. Can be strip grazed or cut and carted to cattle to supplement late summer and autumn diets. Also very useful to provide a fresh bite for suckler cows during the winter. The shorter growing varieties are particularly suitable for Sheep and are best strip grazed or folded.
- Caledonian
A club root resistant, high yielding, winter hardy improved marrow stem type. Ideal for strip grazing by beef cattle. Also suitable for zero grazing dairy cows. Use from early autumn to late winter.
- Keeper
High yielding, medium-short variety with high leaf to stem ratio and excellent digestibility. Ideal for ewes and fattening lambs. Also suitable for strip or zero grazing dairy cows and beef cattle.
- Grampian
A new variety with high dry matter yields and good digestibility. Ideal for autumn and winter use.
